Oakwood Eyecare spread the eye health message at Oakfest 2019
The team at Oakwood Eyecare gave a little something back to the local community as we hosted our very own stall at Oakfest 2019.
We were one of several stands that took part in creating a warm and welcoming experience to the 5000 estimated visitors to the site at Oakwood Park, Derby.
Our helpful team of volunteers from the practice gave out over a hundred goody bags for the adults and kids who visited our stall, which included useful information leaflets and samples.
We also added some style to the festival, as visitors were able to purchase from our range of sunglasses from some of the most prestigious brands that we offer in practice.
Previously known as the Oakwood Gala, Oakfest 2019 also featured live music, street food and drink and even a dog show.
Nicola Flint, Practice Manager, said: “We were so happy to be involved in such a community-oriented event that showed off the best that Oakwood and the local area has to offer.
“Our intention was to communicate to the general public in the area that we care about their eye health, a vital part of our overall wellbeing, along with showcasing our wide range of products and services that they might not have been aware of.
“We were able to meet so many new people, some of whom we were delighted to see come into our practice to sign up as new patients, after seeing what we could offer.
“And, of course, our existing patients have also commented to say how great it was to see us at the event.
“I’d like to thank our team members for making our stand such a star attraction, along with all those who visited us at the festival and took on board everything we had to say.”
We look forward to seeing you in 2020 at the next Oakfest!
